Healthy Building

Our collaboration, partnerships, and projects all focus on the ability for the built environment to support health and wellbeing, both directly and indirectly. All of our work is centered at the intersection of these two elements. And because this is a very complex and interdisciplinary relationship, it is beyond the bounds of what we could explore within our own colleges and our own departments.

The intent of our research and projects are to explore how planned and built environments are not just “less bad” for users and communities, but are actually supportive of health behaviors and ultimately health outcomes.
